The best bit? Like with most RP patterns, you can dress Josephine up or down for casual chic or fancy shmancy events based on fabric choice and styling options. A cozy jersey knit will give you a wonderful jumper for lazing about, while a lurex knit with a metallic fleck with give you a comfortable, but more formal garment.

You can use almost any weight knit fabric for your jumper but you will achieve the best results and fit with a light- to medium-weight fabric. Great examples are sweater knits, medium-weight jersey, viscose, ponte, scuba, stretch velour, and stretch French terry. A lighter-weight fabric will drape more than a structured fabric. Do not use a woven fabric for your Josephine; it won’t sit or fit correctly and will be a heartbreaking waste of fabric and time!

About Bronwyn Westmore

I am a massive word nerd and English is my first love; reading books and collecting dictionaries rank quite high on my To Do List (after sewing aaaaalllll the things, obviously). My favourite dinosaur is a Thesaurus, I'm a firm believer in the Oxford comma, and I think it's nice that Voldemort always waited until the end of the school year to launch an attack on Harry. Despite all his flaws, Voldemort obviously cared about education.I'm a work-from-home dog mom (Harry Potter and Dark Vega) and I basically live on social media, write a bunch of stuff, and drink copious amounts of tea.Sewing and social media in one beautiful package are my happy place!
