What do you enjoy most about working at RP?

Work with an amazing team.

Can you tell us a little bit about how you got into your line of work that lead you to RP?

I finished my degree in Marketing, while I was looking for a job I started sewing by self-learning mostly of PDF patterns, then I loved so much that decided to look for a school that can teach me more, I studied for one year and then I saw the post on Rebecca Page Facebook for the job I applied and got the job!!!

What qualifications do you have/ courses completed?

Pattern making for ladies and children.

Studied tailoring for one year.

What is your favourite RP pattern?

Kingston Jacket. I made one for my niece. Alli. and I want to make one for me and stitch patches from my trips.

Describe a typical day in your life.

I have two jobs, both home office.

One is accounting and is from the moment I wake up until noon on the afternoon I work on RP patterns.

A lot of noise during the day we are 10 members of the family living in the same house, I love it =D.

Tell us a bit about your style.

I think I am like a rocker love my black leather jacket that matches with everything, dresses, jeans, shorts always wearing ankle boots.

Where are you from? And where do you currently live?

I am from Mexico City. At the moment I live in Queretaro, is 3 hours from the city.

How long have you been sewing and how did you start?

Since 2016, my dream was to make matching costumes and clothing for my nieces and me.

One Halloween I made Poppy (used the RP pattern Alice reversible dress)  and Branch from the movie Trolls.

If you had one wish (not necessarily sewing related) what would it be?

More time to visit the ones I love that live further away.

Can you please share some go-to fail-safe tips for beginner sewistas?

Always check your bobbin before start sewing.

Describe your perfect Sunday.

A day by the pool with family or friends, a BBQ, some games to play, good music and cold beer.

If you were stranded on a desert island, which historical figure would you want with you, and why?

With Matilde Montoya, she was the first woman in Mexico that was admitted to medical school.

In the beginning, she didn’t get the approval, she wrote a letter to President Porfirio Diaz and he encouraged her.

What’s the sound of your favourite colour?

Piuuuuuuh piu pu piuhhh, boom!

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

Do more exercise, Pilates or barre.

If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?

Wrapping presents.

Learn more language, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese
