What do you enjoy most about working at RP?

I love the environment in Rebecca Page sewing. Sewists uplifting each other, learning new techniques and sharing with one another.

Can you tell us a little bit about how you got into your line of work that lead you to RP?

I applied to test a few patterns years ago, back when the group was Mumnykins. I fell in love with the style. I’ve hung around ever since!

What qualifications do you have/ courses completed?

I have a Bachelors in Anthropology! So nothing close to sewing. But I’ve been sewing since 2010 and constantly trying new things

What is your favourite RP pattern?

Gosh that’s hard! I love the Floaty Florence but the RP pattern I wear all the time is definitely the Pippa Pants.

Describe a typical day in your life.

I am a mama to 4 girls and a military spouse. They are the driving force in my life. We do breakfast, chaos, snacks, chaos and of course have fun. There are chores, movies, snacks and sometimes I get to sew!

Tell us a bit about your style.

I have a laid back style. I wear t-shirts and jeans/ comfy pants around the house. I need things that wash and wear well. That being said, I love color and I love to dress up when I have the opportunity

Where are you from? And where do you currently live?

I am from Ohio in the US. I met my husband the first day of 7th grade. We’ve traveled a lot and lived in a lot of places due to his job. Right now we live in the great state of Oklahoma and I love it.

How long have you been sewing and how did you start?

I’ve been sewing since 2010. I started when my oldest was a baby. I hated the prices of boutique clothes and thought I could make them cheaper. I now know that handmade boutique clothes are worth every penny and that making my own clothes generally is not cheaper but I do get things to fit my body which is exciting!

If you had one wish (not necessarily sewing related) what would it be?

To be able to travel in retirement. I love adventure and my husband and I love to explore.

What’s your super power?

My super power is definitely being a mom to 4 crazy girls!

What’s the super power you really want?

I really want sleep super power! I never get enough.

Can you please share some go-to fail-safe tips for beginner sewistas?

Some beginner tips I’d share is always measure that test square! It’s there and it’s important. Wash those knits and try new things.

Describe your perfect Sunday.

My perfect Sunday is breakfast, church, east lunch and then a nap!

If you were stranded on a desert island, which historical figure would you want with you, and why?

The historical figure I’d love to be on an island with would be Molly Pitcher. She’s quite the woman.

What’s the sound of your favourite colour?

My favorite color smells like sunshine and brightness. Happy. My favorite color is yellow.

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

Sew! I’d definitely sew with my extra time. I always have more projects but never enough time.

If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning medal for?

Doing dishes. I feel like I am always doing dishes!!

What do you wish you knew more about?

I wish I knew more about car repairs! Our oldest car is a 2009 and I see that repairs will be coming.
