Pattern Details

This PDF girls peasant top sewing pattern comes in sizes newborn to 12 years.

The gathered neckline and sleeves means the top will grow with your child easily. With ribbon detail on the hem and bow, you can vary it to create lots of different designs. You could also alter it with embroidery or applique for a different look. Plus there is now both a long and short sleeve version. Perfect for spring, summer, winter or fall!

olivia-girls-flat-lay

With colour step-by-step photographs and detailed instructions it is suitable for every sewer from beginner to advanced. The sewing pattern can be printed as many times as you like so you can make a whole range of tops in different fabrics if you wish to.

All the seams are cleverly designed to be self-finishing. This means all the raw edges are neatly tucked away out of sight. No overlocking or serging required… and no fraying fabric for little hands to pick at!

The pattern allows for so much creativity if inclined to do so. I found myself getting all kind of ideas but decided to stick to the pattern so that my embellishments didn’t detract from the pattern itself. It was a very easy pattern and fun to make. You can dress it up or keep it simple, depending on your tastes in style and what the occasion it’s going to be used.

  19. 5 out of 5 Could Be Easily Modified

    (verified owner)

I would say this is a staple for anyone’s pattern collection. It could be easily modified and made with more than one type of fabric. Also, the size range is very nice. I loved that it was quick to cut and sew. Sometimes I need something for a special occasion but don’t have the time to cut out a pattern that has several pieces. This could also be a project for my 9 year old whom is learning to sew.
