Calling all floaty/breezy/drapey/gorgeous fabric lovers! This girls floaty top pattern is super simple but absolutely stunning on.

Once familiar with the pattern most sewers will be able to cut it out and sew it in less than an hour.

There are two neckline options (high and boat line), a high/low hem, a double flat-fell seam option & tutorial, optional buttonholes so you can thread a belt through and 19 mod/hack suggestions at the end of the pattern so you can really make it your own!

A really versatile pattern… It makes for a fab beach swim cover, a sophisticated day look with a belt or go super luxurious with minky and make a cosy winter poncho!

The pattern is trim-free, comes in A4 or US letter size, and has layers in the PDF so you can print only the size/s you want. There is also an A0 format (pattern pieces only) in case you’d like to take it to a professional printer.

This is the child’s version but it’s also available as a matching ladies pattern so you can do matching “Mommy and Me” tops! Get the ladies version here. Or get both as a bundle here – http://rebecca-page.com/product/bundle-floaty-florence/.

The Floaty Florence is a wonderful sew that looks elegant with its soft drape & flowing lines. It’s very versatile as you could use lighter weight fabrics for a top cover or a heavier weight for a warm fall top.

  7. 5 out of 5 Great Look

    (verified owner)

I love the way the side seams were sewn to create the armholes. I especially like the use of the double flat felled seams leading into the sleeve hem. Overall, this is a very quick sew and using some dramatic fabric can give a great look!

Every pattern we make has been tried & tested first by our team, then by specially selected pre-testers, then by a group of up to 50 different sewers of different abilities, ages, sizes, shapes, body types, and experience levels.

We literally spend hours designing, testing and checking the pattern to make sure it works and the instructions are easy to follow. Hopefully you’ll love the end result as much as we do! But, if for any reason you don’t, please get in touch so we can help.
