Introducing the Kingston Jacket, a child’s denim jacket pattern.

This beautifully-finished, unisex jacket has 5 sleeve options: Classic 2 piece long sleeves, half angel sleeves, trumpet sleeves, full bell sleeves and ¾ bell sleeves. There are also optional side seam pockets and optional front pockets with flaps.

You can either use a serger for a quick finish, or instructions are included for an all traditional denim jacket finish with hidden seams on a sewing machine.

The techniques used are advanced beginner upwards, but the pattern instructions are very thorough with lots of tips so anyone can follow them.

The jacket is designed for denim. However, any medium weight woven fabric will work, and many heavier weight woven fabrics will work too. Great options are: denim, stretch denim, bull denim, low-pile corduroy, cotton canvas, twill, or even an old pair of jeans up-cycled.

The pattern is trim-free, comes in A4 or US letter size, and has layers in the PDF so you can print only the size/s you want. There is also an A0 format (pattern pieces only) in case you’d like to take it to a professional printer.

Suitable for woven fabrics only (not suitable for knits/stretch fabric). Serger/overlocker optional but NOT required.

This is the child’s version but it’s also available as a matching ladies pattern so you can do matching “Mommy and Me” sets! Get the ladies version here. Plus there is the cutest 18 inch Doll version too! Or buy the ladies and child’s version together in a bundle, save and get the dolls version free!

Includes unisex sizes newborn to 12 years

Perfect for both boys and girls, and fits ages newborn to 12 years!

First time is very time consuming, especially for techniques (you) haven’t been used before, but the end result is totally worth it, and gets quicker each time you do it!! With so many sleeve options it’s a brilliant value for money!! I love how all the seams are hidden.

It has versatility in terms of fabric choices, options and uses. The finishing is wonderful and you won’t believe how great it looks when you’re finished. No one will suspect it’s homemade!

It’s a great pattern. I learnt soooo much, which I couldn’t have possibly done it so efficiently without such detailed instructions and pictures. That said, it’s not exactly a quick sew, but it’s a beautiful piece of art if cut accurately n sewn precisely. The result – i was like WOOHOOOOO!
